Pulse & AI

Pulse gives your server a health score every day, projects its growth and flags activity anomalies.

Pulse is computed every night on the day that just ended. The Recompute button rebuilds the available history.

The day’s score is broken into five sub-scores:

  • Activity
  • Moderation
  • Growth
  • Engagement
  • Health

Each score is rated Excellent, Good, Average, Weak or Critical.

The metrics of the day detail messages, voice, active members, joins and leaves, sanctions and resolved tickets.

The 30-day trend puts the day back in context.

Pulse comments on the score rather than leaving it raw. Some of what it flags:

  • Very low activity, the server is dormant.
  • High sanction rate, check the conflicts under way.
  • The server is losing members, look into why.
  • N leaves for M joins, retention is weak.
  • Low engagement, few members take an active part.
  • N open tickets waiting.
  • N unhealthy channels detected.
  • Excellent momentum, the server is in great shape!

When the history is too short, Pulse says so: Not enough data yet for a reliable diagnosis.

Projection of the member count at 7 days and 30 days, with an average of members gained per day and a confidence rating. Low confidence signals a short or irregular history.

The chart distinguishes the observed, the predicted and an 80% interval.

At least five full days of history are needed to project a trend.

Kotbo identifies the busiest day, the quietest day, the peak hour and the quiet hour (in UTC). Below 14 days observed, the profile is flagged as not yet reliable.

An abnormal spike or drop is reported with its date, its observed value and the expected value. This is the right place to find the day something happened without anyone noticing.
