Embed Builder

The Embed Builder composes rich Discord messages without leaving the dashboard: title, description, colour, images, fields and footer, with a live preview.

Composing an embed

Section titled “Composing an embed”

The editor is organised in sections, and the preview on the right updates as you type.

Channel and message

Section titled “Channel and message”
  • Dispatch Channel: where the embed will be posted.
  • Message ID (Edit existing): leave empty to send a new message; enter the ID of a message Kotbo already posted to edit it.
  • Text content (outside embed): plain text shown above the card.

Author

Section titled “Author”

Author name, Author icon URL and Author link URL (which makes the name clickable).

Main content

Section titled “Main content”
  • Embed title and Title URL to turn it into a link.
  • Description: the body of the message.
  • Side color: in hex or through the picker.
  • Thumbnail URL (top-right) and Large image URL (bottom).

Fields

Section titled “Fields”

The Add a field button creates a Field title / Field content pair. The Display inline option places several fields side by side.

Section titled “Footer”

Footer text, Footer icon URL and Show timestamp.

Publishing

Section titled “Publishing”
  • Publish embed sends a new message.
  • Edit embed updates the message whose ID you entered.

Reusing an embed: templates

Section titled “Reusing an embed: templates”

The My Templates block saves a composition for later.

  1. Give it a template name (optional: Kotbo otherwise proposes a dated name).
  2. Click Save.
  3. Clicking a saved template reloads it into the editor.
