Reaction Roles

The Reaction Roles module posts a message with buttons on Discord. One click grants the associated role, a second click removes it.

Where to find it

The Community → Reaction Roles section: Open reaction roles ↗. Kotbo needs the Manage roles permission, and its own role must sit above the roles it grants in the server hierarchy.

Deploying a panel

Click Deploy a Panel

The form opens with a live Discord preview on the right.

Fill in the title and channel

Panel Title / Message (for example Pick your notification roles) and Destination Channel.

Add your buttons

For each button: an Emoji (optional), a Button Label and an Associated Role. The Add a button button creates more.

Deploy

Click Deploy Panel. Kotbo posts the message on Discord.

Label and role are required

All buttons must have a label and a role, otherwise Kotbo refuses to deploy.

The live preview

The Live Preview (Discord) panel reproduces exactly how the message will look before publishing. You can click the buttons there to check their layout.

Managing deployed panels

The Deployed Panels list shows each menu with its channel and roles. Two actions are available:

• Edit: reopens the form to change the title or the buttons.
• Delete from dashboard: removes the panel from the list.

Deleting does not remove the Discord message

The message posted on Discord is not deleted automatically. Its buttons stay visible but grant nothing: a member who clicks gets a private reply telling them the role panel has been deleted or is no longer active. Delete the message by hand to avoid the confusion.

If a channel or a role has been deleted from the server, Kotbo shows it as Unknown channel or Unknown role with its ID, which makes it easy to spot the panels that need fixing.
