Starlight

The Starlight module watches the reactions placed on your messages and reposts as highlights those that pass a vote score, in a channel you choose.

  • Highlights channel: where highlighted messages are reposted.
  • Highlight threshold: the score (upvotes minus downvotes) required to get reposted.
  • Embed color: the colour of the published highlight.

  • Upvote emojis: at least one is required. The first one is used as the highlight counter.
  • Downvote emojis: subtracted from the score. Leave empty to disable downvoting.
  • Count reactions on the highlight: votes cast on the reposted message feed the same score. That is often where members vote.

Emojis can be typed in or picked among the server’s own; a custom emoji is also accepted by its ID.

Add the vote emojis upfront, so nobody has to look for them.

  • Seed highlights: the bot adds the vote emojis to every reposted message.
  • Channels to seed: every new message there gets the vote emojis. This is what turns a channel into a suggestion box.

  • Watched channels: leave empty to watch the whole server.
  • Excluded channels: always take precedence over watched channels.
  • Include bot messages: takes messages posted by bots and webhooks into account. Off by default.

Remove below threshold: the highlight is deleted if the score falls back under the threshold. Otherwise it stays published once reached.

Changes go through the save bar at the bottom of the screen. Kotbo confirms with Starlight configuration saved.

The module switch sits at the top of the page, as on every module page.
