Suggestions

The Suggestions module lets your members submit ideas for improving the server, vote on them (up or down) directly on Discord, and lets you reply from the dashboard.

To start receiving suggestions from your members, you need to enable the system and choose the channel where suggestions will be posted as interactive embeds.

  1. Go to the Community → Suggestions page of the dashboard.
  2. Turn on the Suggestion system toggle (in the Configuration block).
  3. In the Suggestions channel dropdown, choose the Discord channel where Kotbo will post new ideas.
  4. Save your changes using the action bar at the bottom of the screen.

Every active suggestion on your server is listed on the Community → Suggestions page.

At the top of the page, quick filters let you sort suggestions by status:

  • All: shows every suggestion.
  • Pending: submitted suggestions that have not yet had a reply or a staff decision.
  • Approved: suggestions accepted by the team.
  • Rejected: suggestions that were turned down.
  • Implemented: suggestions that are now live.

For each suggestion shown, you can see the number of upvotes and downvotes collected on Discord.

To rule on a suggestion:

  1. Find the suggestion in the list.
  2. In the text field below it, fill in the Public response or comment field.

    Comment required

You must enter a comment or a justification before any of the decision buttons will work.

  3. Click the button matching your choice:
    • Approve: accepts the idea (the suggestion turns green).
    • Reject: turns the idea down (the suggestion turns red).
    • Implemented: indicates the suggestion is now live (the suggestion turns blue).

As soon as you confirm a decision on the dashboard:

  • The suggestion’s status is updated on the page.
  • Kotbo instantly edits the original message on Discord (the embed changes colour and shows your response comment along with the name of the moderator who decided).
  • Your reply is visible to every member on Discord.
