Transcripts
A transcript is a readable copy of a channel’s contents, generated by Kotbo when the channel is closed. It is what remains of a support ticket once its channel is gone.
Where transcripts come from
Section titled “Where transcripts come from”Kotbo generates a transcript in two situations:
- when a ticket channel is deleted, in the Support tickets module. The transcript is mandatory there: it is produced before the channel disappears, and its link is posted in the log channel. Closing a ticket, on the other hand, generates none, since the channel still exists;
- on a moderator’s request, when they import Discord messages as evidence into a sanction report. A separate transcript is then created for each channel kept.
Consulting
Section titled “Consulting”- The counter at the top shows how many transcripts are stored.
- The search field filters by channel name.
- The Open button displays the full transcript: messages, authors, timestamps and attachments.
- Load more fetches the next entries.
If the list is empty, Kotbo shows either No results for this search or Generated transcripts will appear here.
Deleting
Section titled “Deleting”The delete icon asks for confirmation right on the row (Confirm?) before erasing the transcript.
