Triggers

A trigger pairs a condition with one or more actions: reply, grant a role, delete a message, close a ticket, time a member out, and much more.

The New trigger button opens a four-tab dialog.

First pick the trigger type:

Type What fires it
Discord Message (Keyword) A message containing the keyword. The match type can be Contains the text, Exact match or Regular expression.
Form Submission An answer to a given form. You specify the question (label or ID) and the value to match.
Ticket Opening A ticket being opened. You specify the ticket type (or all), the field to check (Reason or Description) and the expected value.
  • Bot response(s): one or more texts. The Add an alternative response button creates variants picked at random, each with its own appearance rate (the total should ideally be 100%).
  • Message destination: Direct Message, Current channel or Specific channel.
  • Relay to the staff server: also sends a copy to the log channel of the linked staff server.
  • Role to add and Role to remove.
  • Delete the message, Close the ticket, Reject the application.
  • Enable the trigger: active as soon as you save.

The variables usable in responses are {user} (mention), {username} (nickname), {server} (server name) and {channel} (channel).

  • Reactions: the bot automatically reacts to the message with the listed emoji, separated by commas or spaces. The server’s custom emoji are offered.
  • Create a Thread: creates a public thread attached to the message, with a name template accepting {user} and {content}.
  • Send a direct message: a text separate from the public reply.
  • Timeout: duration in seconds.
  • Grant XP points.
  • Create a channel / category: name, type (Text, Voice, Category) and parent category.
  • Delete a channel / category.
  • Create a role: name and colour.
  • Delete a role.

Restricts firing to certain contexts: Allowed roles, Banned roles, Allowed channels and Banned channels. An empty field means “all”.

Each trigger shows its type, its condition and badges summarising its actions: Message, Relayed to staff, Add role, Remove role, Delete the message, Close the ticket, Reject the application, plus the number of filtered roles and channels.

Tick several triggers (or use Select all) to Enable, Disable or Delete them at once.
