Social networks

The Social networks module watches YouTube channels and Twitch streamers, and posts an alert in a Discord channel on every new video, new Short or live stream.

A Modules status banner at the top of the page recalls which modules are active and whether the service is online.

Enter the channel

The URL, Handle or Channel Name field accepts all three forms, for example https://youtube.com/@cyprien or just the name.

Pick the alerts channel

Leave the default value to use the public channel configured elsewhere.

Add a mention (optional)

The Mention field accepts @everyone or a role.

Customise the messages

Three separate messages can be configured: Live, Video and Short. The [title] and [channel] variables are replaced when posting.

Click Add Channel. It appears under Followed Channels, where you can change its configuration or stop following it.

The Follow a Twitch Streamer form works the same way:

  • Twitch Username or Link: for example xqc or https://twitch.tv/xqc.
  • Alerts Channel and Mention.
  • Live Message with the same variables.

Click Follow Streamer. The Followed Streamers list shows each one’s state: Live or Offline.

On each list entry:

  • the save icon applies the configuration changes;
  • the Stop following action removes the channel or streamer, after confirmation.
