Social networks
The Social networks module watches YouTube channels and Twitch streamers, and posts an alert in a Discord channel on every new video, new Short or live stream.
A Modules status banner at the top of the page recalls which modules are active and whether the service is online.
Following a YouTube channel
Section titled “Following a YouTube channel”Enter the channel
The URL, Handle or Channel Name field accepts all three forms, for example https://youtube.com/@cyprien or just the name.
Pick the alerts channel
Leave the default value to use the public channel configured elsewhere.
Add a mention (optional)
The Mention field accepts @everyone or a role.
Customise the messages
Three separate messages can be configured: Live, Video and Short. The [title] and [channel] variables are replaced when posting.
Click Add Channel. It appears under Followed Channels, where you can change its configuration or stop following it.
Following a Twitch streamer
Section titled “Following a Twitch streamer”The Follow a Twitch Streamer form works the same way:
- Twitch Username or Link: for example
xqcorhttps://twitch.tv/xqc. - Alerts Channel and Mention.
- Live Message with the same variables.
Click Follow Streamer. The Followed Streamers list shows each one’s state: Live or Offline.
Editing or removing a follow
Section titled “Editing or removing a follow”On each list entry:
- the save icon applies the configuration changes;
- the Stop following action removes the channel or streamer, after confirmation.
