Clans

The Clans module splits your community into teams based on Discord roles. Every member contributes points to their clan, and a season crowns a winner.

  • Enable clans: turns on the /clan commands and the related safeguards.
  • Single Clan: forces one clan role per member.
  • Assign a clan on server arrival: automatically gives the least populated clan to every new member. Validated alt accounts are aligned with their main account’s clan.
  • Season Announcement Channel: where the winner announcement is published.
  • Giveaway Boost: improves the winning clan’s odds in giveaways.
  • Clan Leader Role: grants the leader role to the top contributor.

The Weekly digest posts each Monday, in every clan’s HQ, the week’s points, top contributors and standing.

Kotbo names the clans without an HQ: with no channel, they will get nothing.

The New clan button opens a form: Clan Name, Description, Associated Discord Role, Clan General (HQ) and Clan Leader Role.

The Configured clans table then shows the Clan, Discord Role, Clan HQ Channel, Leader Role, Members and Total XP columns.

Three actions run progressively in the background and require typing a confirmation word:

Action Word to type Effect
Distribute DISTRIBUTE Randomly assigns a clan to members who have none.
Clean up duplicates CLEAN Keeps a single clan for members holding several. The clan kept is the one they contributed most to this season, and their points follow.
Remove from all REMOVE Removes their clan from every member.

Removal recreates the roles

Each clan role is recreated identically (channel permissions included), then the old one is deleted. The role ID changes: any external setting pointing at it has to be redone.

The Current Season block shows the season number, the time remaining, and the start and end dates.

  • Manually close the Season computes the winning clan, grants the rewards, renames the HQ and resets every member’s active clan XP to 0. Contribution history is kept.
  • Reset the Season moves on to the next one.

The Plan the clan season block offers quick fills (1 month, Quarter, 6 months, 1 year) and a Chain after the current one button that reuses the same duration.

Automatic renewal closes the season as soon as the end date passes, then immediately schedules the next one for the same duration. With no planned date, the running season will not close by itself.

  • Points awarded per level: the flat amount paid on each level-up.
  • Points proportional to effort: pays according to the XP actually crossed rather than a flat amount at every level. The Reference level sets the balance point.

Points granted per boost: the bonus paid to the clan of a member who boosts the server.

If the Daily Algo module is on, you can convert Daily Algo points into clan points at the end of the week, with a conversion rate and a bonus. Without this setting, the two modules run unconnected.

  • Adjust Clan points: adds an amount to a clan’s total. The Remove Clan points button does the opposite.
  • Adjust Member points: adjusts a specific member’s contribution, searched by nickname, with the same add / Remove Member points pair.

Two members challenge each other on any subject and stake clan points; only a referee settles it. Members open a bet with the /paris command.

  • Duels with no named opponent: duels started without naming an opponent, which anyone can take up.
  • Pool bets: several bettors, a single winner who takes the whole pot.
  • Team bets: sides facing off. The winning side shares the pot in proportion to what each member staked.

The stake mode decides the balance:

  • Per person: everyone stakes the same amount, so an outnumbered side gets better odds.
  • Per side: the stake is split across the side’s seats, which requires declaring how many there are when the bet is created.

Minimum and maximum stake, Concurrent bets, Players per bet, Sides per bet and Reply window (h).

  • Bets channel: where /paris is accepted. With no setting, the command works everywhere and the bet is posted where it was started.
  • Announcements channel: where the summary is posted once the verdict is in.

The Roles allowed to manage bets block hands refereeing to a team without opening up server administration: naming the winner of a running bet, or cancelling it and returning the stakes. Administrators keep this right in every case.

Betting on credit allows a member to stake more points than they hold: the shortfall becomes a debt, taken from their later gains.

  • Debt ceiling: past it, no further bet on credit is accepted.
  • Clear debts at season end: off, a debt survives seasons; otherwise waiting for the close is enough to owe nothing.

The Open debts list lets you clear a member’s debt. The share still staked on running bets stays owed until the verdict, unless you explicitly tick the box to clear that too.

When a season closes, the top bettors receive a title and a bonus. Only a positive net gain is rewarded: a season where everyone lost crowns nobody.

  • 1st, 2nd and 3rd place bonus, paid into the next season. At zero, only the title is awarded.
  • Top bettor role: optional. It is removed from its previous holders at every closure, then given to the winner - or to all of them on a tie.

A winner in debt sees their bonus go to repayment first.

The Latest bets list keeps the history with the stake, the pot, the season and the status: Pending, Ongoing, Processing, Settled, Declined, Withdrawn, Expired or Voided.

  • Reset all Clan data (RESET ALL): permanently deletes every configured clan, the associated roles in the database, and the XP history of all seasons. To simply close the running season, use the Season Management tab instead.
  • Cancel the last season (CANCEL): returns to the previous season. The active season’s contributions are deleted, and the winner of the season before that, along with its clan leaders, is restored.

The Clan board is a public page, outside the signed-in dashboard, that your members can follow live. It refreshes on its own and brings together in a single screen what used to be split between the clans page and the RPG one.

It holds:

  • the season’s ranking by clan: season XP, latest recorded scores, time remaining, with the breakdown of a clan’s members;
  • two tabs, Raid and Adventurers: how far each clan got on the week’s boss - damage, top strikers, boss down or not - and the individual player ranking;
  • the running clan quests, with their reset countdown;
  • the latest settled bets (who challenged whom, on what, and for how much), the season’s bettor standings and the open debts;
  • a search, to find a member.

The View the page and Copy the link buttons are available from the dashboard, on the Clans page as well as on the Economy & RPG page.
