Security quick setup
The Security → Quick setup page offers three protection levels. Picking a level configures the automatic moderation filters and the anti-raid thresholds at once, without going through the dozens of options on the detailed pages.
The three levels
Section titled “The three levels”| Level | Who it is for | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Light | Small servers among friends, very chatty channels | Permissive anti-spam, anti-mention and anti-@everyone on. Links, caps, emoji, ghost pings and profanity left alone. Anti-raid stays off. |
| Standard (recommended) | Most communities | All content filters on with moderate thresholds, anti-raid triggered at 10 joins per minute, scam filter and image filter on. |
| Strict | Servers targeted by raids or regular spam | Tighter thresholds (3 messages, 3 mentions, 5 emoji, 60% caps), longer timeouts, anti-raid triggered from 5 joins per minute. |
The level currently applied is highlighted in the grid, and each card shows how many filters it turns on.
Applying a level
Section titled “Applying a level”Pick a card
Click the level you want. Nothing is applied yet at this point.
Save
The unsaved-changes bar appears at the bottom of the screen. Click Save to apply the level.
Fine-tune if needed
Then head to Security → Filters and Security → Anti-raid to adjust whatever needs it.
What a level does not touch
Section titled “What a level does not touch”A preset only configures what makes sense without knowing your server: the switches, the thresholds and the sanctions. You still have to set manually:
- the channels and roles (alert channel, exempt roles, log channel);
- your custom word lists;
- the anti-bot safe mode and the automatic burst suspension, which are reserved for the server owner;
- Discord’s native AutoMod, which Kotbo always keeps enabled.
After applying a level, go back to the overview: the audit score reflects the new state immediately.
